Story Analyzer is an application that allows users to upload multiple documents for analysis and to generate various data visualizations based on patterns pulled from said documents. The product was originally developed by Professor Michel Mitri at James Madison University. Despite its successful functionality, the original product was lacking in visual design and usability.

Working closely with our client, my team and I delivered a complete redesign along with a new set of features including a login system, account information, saving multiple document visualizations, and more. Using Agile, we delivered 3 sprints in 3 months and were able to successfully deliver the first iteration of Story Analyzer 2.0. This included the establishment of our project goals and set of features, development of a brand and style guide, designing low and high fidelity mockups, and coding the final product using HTML and CSS.

I designed both the UI alongside other designers and served as the only front end developer on the team. I worked alongside backend developers to help the product come to fruition. Ultimately, we were able to vastly improve the original product and create an efficient and user friendly design within a very short time span. In our final iteration of the product, users can easily login, upload documents for analysis, and create multiple different data visualizations.
